Week 22

Dear Family,

General Conference was amazing!!! I loved it so much and it came and went so quickly.  I was fortunte enough to listen to it all in English.  There is just something about listening to it in your language and hearing their voices.  There wasn't really one talk that stood out to me, but everything single talk had something I needed to hear, which was amazing.  When we have questions and ask the Lord He will answer (espcially if General Conference is soon ;) ).  No but it was awesome! I hope you all enjoyed moms homemade cinnamon rolls :)

I loved the General Women's Meeting and really what I loved the most was it was so focused on convenant women and how we are all daughters of our Heavenly Father.  The Spirit was so strong right when it first started and the song, I definitely needed that reminder. Remember the convenants we have made and try to be more Christlike!
Remeber everyone is a child of God, everyone needs to be reminded that too, and lots of times God will work throught us to help them realize that.

General Conference:
Elder Holland: Wow. The missionary story.  That is all....Stand firm to the faith, DEFEND YOUR FAITHS.  When he was talking I could remember back throught the years the many times I stood up for what I believed in, mainly with movies clothing and music, but everything.  And I'm grateful for the wonderful parents who raised me who helped me to have these standards and understand the importance of sticking to them.
Elder Neil L. Anderson: Sometimes you have to stand alone. Always stand up for what you believe in.
Elder Robert D. Hales: OBEIDENCE.  I really liked this talk probably more because I'm a missionary and we are all striving to be the most obeident we can be.  When we obey we are accepting His sacrifice.  Obey the Lord and his commandments.  Who wouldn't want to hear our Heavenly Father say: ¨Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord¨  Make the deep personal commitment to OBEY.  Why would we choose to be disobedient if we really knew all the blessings we could have?
Elder W. Craig Zwick: Whew,  This one hit hard, espcially we are having some communication problems in our house.... But we need to listen to everyone and ask what they are thinking.  Try to understand!
Elder Quentin L. Cook: FAMILY HISTORY and TEMPLE WORK.  You all know how much I love the temple and family history work.  I hope that you can try to go to the temple often and do family history work, it will bless our family so much.

And I just loved the whole Saturday theme of being true disciples!

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf:  No one is immune to trials.  Be grateful in my circumstances! The choice is ours.  Rely on our testimony and look forward, have faith!
Elder M. Russell Ballard: Consisten Persistent Follow Up.  Man, we really need to follow up on everything and the Lord will not let us down.  (Parents I'm ready to hear what you learned from PMG :) hahahaha.
Elder David A. Bednar:  The Load.  Before the mission I don't think I knew what a yoke was.  Anyways.. We don't have to carry the load alone, Christ is hear to help us.  The Atonement enables us to do good and be good.  My Savior knows me and knows how to succor me..
President Thomas S. Monson: LOVE. Love is the very essence of the gospel. and forgiveness should go hand in hand with love.
Elder William R. Walker: Family history!!!..... I need to learn our family stories!

I don't have time to write about all the talks but it was a really good GC just like every single one is.  Not much else happened this week, but the weeks are going by so fast.  Happy 5 Months today!

I love you all and thank you for sharing with me what you learned :) Love you!

Love,
Hermana Louder
